How do you build a neighbourhood with respect for nature, the environment and the people who will live there?

You can hear more about this when we invite you to an inspiring afternoon in Travbyen, focusing on architecture, materials, nature and play.

We will begin at the project office, where architect Jan will introduce Travbyen, the history of the area and the ideas behind the development of the new neighbourhood. Afterwards, we will head out into Travbyen together, where Jan will guide you around and share more about the neighbourhood’s distinctive features.

Along the way, you will get a closer look at the architecture, the green spaces and the many small details that have been carefully integrated into the neighbourhood. You will hear about the materials, where they come from, and how reuse and responsibility have played an important role in the development.

Jan will also talk about the design principles that have helped shape Travbyen. This includes how the neighbourhood has drawn inspiration from historic medieval towns, where variation, human scale and natural meeting places help create life between the buildings.

The tour is for anyone curious to learn how Travbyen has come to life, and how architecture, nature and play come together in the new neighbourhood.
